Avocado Tuna Salad

Avocado Tuna Salad

Looks just like avocado toast, but bear with me — there’s more! For those who like the idea of tuna salad but don’t like all that mayo, using avocado solves the problem. Add some red onion, jalapeño for kick, and citrus, and you’re set.

Serves 2

Ingredients

1 avocado
1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 can tuna, drained (preferably something like this, that's not evil & destroying sea creature populations)
1/4 small red onion, chopped
1/2 jalapeño, finely chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Aleppo pepper, for sprinkling

Preparation

In a medium bowl, roughly mash avocado and lemon juice (it's ok/better if it's not completely smooth!). Add tuna, onion, and jalapeño and mix. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve atop toast, in a wrap, a sandwich, etc. Sprinkle with Aleppo for a little kick!
